Countdown to Christmas

Sprinkling of snow
On with winter boots
Out with the sleds
Making yummy goodies
Snowflakes in the sky
Lots and lots of snow
Plows in the road
Christmas music playing
Family traditions starting...
So excited for the first snow fall

The first thing Miles wanted to do was pull out the sleds.  We raced them up, down and all around our yard.

A little snow merits a little snowman!

Let the holiday goodie eating begin!  (Overeating in mommy's case)
These two little helpers were excellent sprinklers until...

...they discovered how yummy and sugary sprinkles taste!

A good chef always samples his cooking.

After cleaning up messy faces and sprinkles all over the floor we enjoyed white chocolate dipped pretzels.

We received more snow today.  The first thing Miles exclaimed upon waking and looking outside - "beautiful!"
We spent a relaxing morning peering out the window, watching the snow fly.

We enjoyed ourselves so much we decided to pull up chairs, eat some Cheerios
and watch all of the plows in our neighborhood.

This wonderful boy, my growing boy, had his preschool screening on Friday.  I couldn't have been more proud as he passed all of the assessments with flying colors.  The district specialists commented on what a sweet, wonderful boy Miles is.  His eyesight exceeds what is expected for his age (he must take after daddy), his hearing is perfect and he scored in the 4-4 1/2 year old range for the developmental tests.  AND he looks darn cute in a tie!

We braved the snowstorm to attend sweet Kenny Rae's baptism today.  All dressed up and ready to go!

Miles and Corey at brunch.

We started another new family holiday tradition - a pizza, movie and popcorn night!  To kick us off this year we had delicious homemade turkey burger pizza, watched Curious George's Christmas and had caramel puffcorn.  We all loved having a family picnic on the floor.  The kids were so excited they had an impromptu dance party when the movie was over.
